This product fits on the back of a Early solid state button housing and will allow the customer to "dial a color" using any RGB value. To program the RGB LEDs; you simply plug the PCB into your Windows computer's USB port. Then you can use our RGB picker software to pick any of the preset colors or design your own color.
If a solid color is not desired; you can enable a speed-controllable RGB Cycling feature which allows you to select which transitions you want. IE you don't want blue; don't enable it. Don't want White - ditto. I also added a Fade To Black option so you can have the button fade to off. The pattern of cycling is hard coded to the following:
R -> G -> B -> RG -> GB -> RB -> RGB -> FadeToBlack -> R ...
Deselecting the G pattern means the pattern would skip from R -> B and continue.
You can also control the speed at which the transitions control. Realistically; you can get some pretty fast transitions; but the controller becomes not responsive to usb transactions if you go too far. I've used transitions up from 1 to 10 "speed". The product ships as stock with a R->G->B->R... with a speed of 4.
The end-customer can use their own Windows computer/tablet to choose other transitions or a solid color.
Once you have the color you want; you can program the board to always display that color.
These PCBs are made to fit many Bally, Gottlieb, Stern, and Chicago Coin Pinball machines in the late 70s and Early 80s. Any Pinball machine which uses our translucent Buttons could fit the PCBs. This is a bolt-on replacement for your existing metal back strap and should be obvious how to install. Simply remove the existing button via the two screws and the flipper switch and your new PCB after programming them in your computer.
The PCBs require 6.3V at J1 to operate in your pinball machine. Typically you would want to tap into the coin door's 6.3VAC for the coin chute lamps. The connection at J1 is generally non-polarized. Putting AC voltage into the connector is typical. If you decide to power these board from a DC power source; please note for best results connect the positive to the (+) terminal for best results.
