The material is thick enough to offer some absorption to help reduce impact damage, after many games, I see no further deterioration, this is an inexpensive piece of protection until I have permanently fix it I am very satisfied with it, if the previous damage/chip wasn't already there, the Zitt protector would be undetectable.
